How Much Do Persian Kittens Cost? (2026 Price Guide)
If you’re researching Persian kittens, the first question is almost always the same: how much should one actually cost? Here’s an honest breakdown.
The typical price range
From a reputable, health-testing breeder, a Persian kitten generally runs $1,500 to $3,500, depending on color, lineage, and the breeder’s program. Show- or breeding-quality cats can cost more.
At Royal Persian Cats, our doll-face Persians fall in this range:
- White Persians — $2,000–$2,500
- Silver Chinchilla Persians — $2,000–$2,500
- Chinchilla Point Persians — $2,500–$3,000
See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
What changes the price
- Color and pattern — rarer colors and striking eye color cost more.
- Health testing — breeders who DNA-test parents for PKD and HCM invest more, and it shows in the price.
- What’s included — vaccinations, spay/neuter, and registration are real costs that a fair price should cover.
- Lineage — CFA/TICA registered lines from proven, titled parents command a premium.
Why cheap kittens cost more later
A $600 “Persian” from a listing site usually means no health testing, no spay/neuter, no registration, and often a flat peke-face structure with breathing and tear-duct problems. The vet bills that follow can dwarf the savings.
What a fair price should include
At minimum: three rounds of FVRCP vaccines, completed spay/neuter, a vet health certificate, CFA registration papers, parents’ DNA test documentation, and a starter kit. Ours also includes temperament matching by an IAABC-certified behaviorist and a year of support.
