Persian Kittens Matched to Your Texas Family | Feline Friend
Temperament-Matched Persian Kittens • Raised in Texas

The Persian Who'll Love Your Kids, Tolerate Your Dog, and Curl Up on Your Lap Every Night for 15 Years

Texas family with their perfectly matched Persian kitten

We don't let you pick from photos. We match your family's personality to your kitten's—so they belong from day one.

Here's What That Means:

Before you ever meet your kitten, we already know they'll fit your life. Your household rhythm. Your kids' energy. Your dog's personality. Your quiet mornings or your chaotic evenings. So when they walk into your home, they don't just adjust. They belong.

How We Match Your Family to Your Persian

1
You Tell Us About Your Life
Busy household with kids? Quiet couple? Active family with a dog? We need to know YOUR rhythm.
2
We Watch Personalities Emerge
Iryna (IAABC behaviorist) observes every kitten for weeks. Who's playful? Gentle? Confident? Cuddly?
3
We Make the Match
We don't show you 10 kittens and say "pick one." We show you THE kitten whose personality fits your family.
4
They Belong From Day One
No guessing. No adjustment period. Just 15 years of exactly what you hoped for.
What Happens When Temperament Matches Lifestyle:
"We have three kids under 8, a golden retriever, and constant chaos. Iryna matched us with the perfect kitten—from day ONE, he was unfazed. Kids screaming? He walks right past. Dog barking? Doesn't blink. She helped us choose a cat that suited our temperament and needs. It's like he was MADE for our family. We have the most affectionate, cheerful and smart cat!"

Persian Kittens That Become True Family Members

Imagine a Persian Kitten That Becomes Your Family's Best Friend

Picture this: A classic doll-face Persian that greets you at the door, plays gently with your children, and becomes the calm, loving centerpiece of your home. That's the future we create for Texas families.

Kittens That Actually Want to Be With Your Family

While other breeders focus on show ribbons, we focus on creating deep family bonds. Our classic doll-face Persians are raised in our home—not in cages—experiencing daily family life, children's laughter, and household sounds from day one.

The Beautiful Result:
A kitten that seeks out your company, adapts quickly to your routine, and becomes a true family member—not just a pet that tolerates you.

Healthy, Breathable Persians That Live Full Lives

Our classic doll-face Persians have the traditional, healthier face structure—beautiful but breathable. No constant tear staining, no breathing struggles, no expensive health complications. Just the gentle, sweet Persian temperament in a body designed to thrive.

What This Means:
Years of worry-free companionship. A cat that can play, explore, and live without the health limitations of extreme breeding.

The Perfect Match for Your Unique Family

Through our FaceTime consultations and detailed conversations, we learn about your lifestyle, your children, your home environment. Then we guide you to the kitten whose personality will flourish in your specific family dynamic.

The Magic Happens When:
Your energetic child gets paired with a playful kitten, or your quiet household gets a gentle, calm companion. It's not luck—it's intentional matching.

Lifelong Support for Your Growing Bond

Your relationship with us doesn't end at pickup. We're here for grooming questions, behavior guidance, health concerns, and those "is this normal?" moments that every pet parent experiences.

Because We Believe:
Great breeders create lasting relationships, not just transactions. Your success as a Persian parent is our success too.

Picture Your Life 6 Months From Now:

  • Your Persian greets you with purrs and head bumps every morning
  • Your children have learned gentle care and responsibility through their bond
  • Your home feels more complete with a calm, loving presence
  • You have a healthy cat with minimal grooming stress
  • You feel confident in your pet parenting because you have ongoing support
  • Your friends ask where you found such a perfect family cat

This vision became our mission after losing our beloved Burzhuy. We realized that finding a Persian kitten shouldn't be about luck—it should be about creating intentional, lasting family bonds. That's exactly what we do for families across Texas.

6 Ways We Create Better Family Bonds

6 Ways We Create Stronger Family Bonds

Every choice we make is designed with one goal: creating Persian kittens who become true family members. Here's how our approach builds deeper, lasting connections between your family and your new companion:

1

Raised in Real Family Life From Day One

Traditional approach:

Kittens raised in separate cattery buildings or breeding rooms, isolated from household activity and family dynamics.

Our family-centered approach:

Our kittens grow up in the heart of our home—with children, dogs, and all the beautiful chaos of family life. They experience vacuum cleaners, doorbells, laughter, and love from their very first days.

The Beautiful Result:
Your kitten arrives already understanding family rhythms. No hiding period. No adjustment trauma. Just a confident companion ready to join your family's story from day one.
2

Personality Matching for Perfect Family Fit

Traditional approach:

First-come-first-served selection based on photos and availability.

Our matching approach:

Iryna observes each kitten's unique personality for weeks—their play style, social preferences, energy level, and temperament. Then she thoughtfully matches each kitten to the family whose lifestyle will help them flourish.

The Beautiful Result:
Your active family gets a confident, playful companion. Your quiet household gets a gentle, affectionate lap cat. It's not chance—it's intentional harmony.
3

Health Transparency for Peace of Mind

Traditional approach:

Health claims without documentation or genetic testing verification.

Our transparency approach:

Every breeding cat is DNA tested for PKD and other genetic conditions. We provide complete documentation—not just promises—so you can love your kitten with confidence.

The Beautiful Result:
You can focus on building memories instead of worrying about hidden health issues. Your kitten comes with a foundation of proven genetic health.
4

Classic Beauty That Breathes Easy

Traditional approach:

Extreme flat faces bred for show ribbons, often creating breathing difficulties and daily care challenges.

Our healthy beauty approach:

We focus on classic Doll Face Persians with traditional proportions—all the Persian elegance and sweetness, but with clear airways, easier grooming, and comfortable living.

The Beautiful Result:
A stunning Persian who can play freely, breathe easily, and live comfortably. More time for cuddles, less time for medical concerns.
5

Lifelong Partnership and Support

Traditional approach:

Transaction ends at pickup. Limited or no ongoing support for new families.

Our partnership approach:

Iryna provides detailed preparation guidance, 24/7 support during your first week, and remains available for a full year. As a certified cat behavior consultant (IAABC), she's genuinely invested in every family's success.

The Beautiful Result:
You're never alone in your Persian parenting journey. Whether it's grooming tips, behavior questions, or just celebrating milestones, Iryna is there for your family's entire story.
6

Complete Preparation for Success

Traditional approach:

Hand over kitten with basic paperwork and hope for the best.

Our Guarantees - Royal Persian Cats

Our Guarantees: What's Protected, What's Realistic, and Why We Stand Behind Every Kitten

We're not going to promise you a "lifetime health guarantee" or claim nothing will ever go wrong—that's not honest, and it's not how biology works. But here's what we do guarantee, in writing, because we stand behind how we raise our kittens.

1

Health Guarantee (1 Year)

What's Covered:
  • Congenital health defects present at birth but not yet visible
  • Genetic conditions that our parent cats were screened for (PKD, HCM, etc.)
  • Any health issue that a licensed veterinarian determines was pre-existing before adoption
What this means:

If your kitten develops a serious genetic or congenital health condition within the first year that makes them unable to live a normal quality of life, we will replace the kitten or refund your adoption fee (your choice).

What's NOT Covered:
  • Illnesses caused by environmental factors after pickup (URI, parasites picked up elsewhere, injuries)
  • Conditions caused by improper care, diet changes without consultation, or failure to follow our care guidelines
  • Normal breed characteristics (tear staining, seasonal shedding, etc.)
Why 1 year (not "lifetime"):

Most genetic conditions show up within the first 12 months. "Lifetime guarantees" sound good but are often filled with loopholes that make them impossible to claim. We'd rather be honest: one year is the realistic window for congenital issues to appear, and that's what we'll stand behind.

What you need to do:

Take your kitten to a licensed vet within 72 hours of pickup for an initial health check. Keep all vaccination and health records. If an issue arises, contact us immediately with vet documentation.

2

Temperament Guarantee (30 Days)

What's Covered:

If your kitten's temperament is drastically different from what Iryna described—and you've followed our introduction and adjustment protocols—we'll work with you to resolve it.

What this means:

Iryna matches kittens based on weeks of observation. If she told you the kitten is calm and affectionate, but it turns out to be aggressive or fearful beyond normal adjustment behavior, we'll help troubleshoot. If the issue can't be resolved and is clearly a mismatch, we'll discuss options (including replacement if another kitten is available).

What's NOT Covered:
  • Normal adjustment behavior (hiding for the first few days, being cautious with new people, etc.)
  • Behavioral issues caused by improper introduction, lack of following our setup guidelines, or household stress
  • Changes in personality due to major life events (moving, new baby, etc.)
Why 30 days:

It takes about a week for a kitten to settle in and show their true personality. By 30 days, you'll know if there's a genuine mismatch versus normal adjustment.

What you need to do:

Follow our home preparation guidelines. Give your kitten time to adjust. Stay in communication with Iryna during the first month—she's there to help troubleshoot.

3

Genetic Screening Guarantee (Parents Only)

What's Covered:

Every breeding cat in our program is DNA tested for:

  • PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease)
  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)
  • Other breed-specific genetic conditions
What this means:

We provide documentation showing that your kitten's parents were cleared of these conditions. While no breeder can guarantee a kitten will never develop any health issue (that's not how genetics work), we've done everything possible to reduce hereditary risks.

Why this matters:

Many breeders claim their cats are "healthy" without proof. We give you the paperwork.

4

Socialization Guarantee (From Day One)

What's Covered:

Every kitten is raised in our home with exposure to:

  • Children (our kids interact with them daily)
  • Dogs (our family dogs)
  • Other cats (our adult cats and littermates)
  • Normal household sounds (vacuum, doorbell, TV, etc.)
What this means:

Your kitten won't be shocked by normal family life. They've been living in it since birth.

What's NOT Covered:

Adjustment period behavior. Even well-socialized kittens may be cautious in a new environment for the first few days. That's normal and expected.

Why this matters:

Poorly socialized kittens can take months to adjust—or never fully relax. Ours are confident from day one because they've been prepared for real life, not isolated in a cage.

5

Support Guarantee (1 Year Minimum, Often Longer)

What's Covered:
  • 24/7 availability during the first week
  • Ongoing support for the first year for any questions about health, behavior, grooming, feeding, or adjustment
  • Access to Iryna's expertise as a certified cat behavior consultant (IAABC)
What this means:

You're never alone. If you have a question, concern, or just need reassurance, Iryna is there. Most families stay in touch well beyond the first year because she genuinely cares about every kitten she places.

Why this matters:

Most breeders disappear after pickup. We don't. Your success is our success.

6

Transparency Guarantee (Always)

What's Covered:
  • Honest communication about each kitten's personality, grooming needs, and quirks
  • Full disclosure of any health concerns or special care requirements
  • Clear expectations about what Persian ownership actually involves
What this means:

We won't sugarcoat things to make a sale. If a kitten needs more grooming, we'll tell you. If a kitten is more independent than cuddly, we'll tell you. If we don't think we're the right fit for your family, we'll tell you that too.

Why this matters:

A good match is better than a quick sale. We'd rather you go into this with realistic expectations and succeed than be disappointed later.

What We DON'T Guarantee (And Why That's Honest):

  • "Lifetime health guarantee" - No responsible breeder can guarantee a living animal will never get sick. We guarantee against genetic/congenital issues within a realistic timeframe.
  • "Perfect" kittens - They're living creatures with personalities. Some are more playful, some are more laid-back. We match intentionally, but they're not robots.
  • Zero grooming - Persians require regular brushing. Even our easiest-coat varieties (Whites and Chinchilla Points) need maintenance. We'll teach you how, but it's part of the commitment.
  • Instant bonding - Most kittens adjust quickly, but some take a few days to feel comfortable. That's normal. We'll support you through it.

The Bottom Line:

Our guarantees are designed to protect you from things within our control—genetic health, accurate temperament matching, proper socialization, and ongoing support.

We can't control everything (no one can), but we'll be honest about what's realistic, transparent about what to expect, and there for you when you need help.

That's the difference between a breeder who cares and one who just wants to make a sale.

Questions About Our Guarantees?

Why We Raise Classic Persian Doll Face Kittens

This isn't just a breeding program. It's a promise I made to my wife.

The Cat Who Changed Everything

Iryna grew up with cats in Ukraine. But one cat changed everything.

Right after high school, during some of the hardest years of her life, she found a Persian named Burzhuy in a classified ad. He was a few years old, with a classic Doll Face and a calm, steady presence.

He became more than a pet. During the weeks when Iryna struggled with chronic psoriasis and depression, Burzhuy stayed. He didn't leave her side.

Our family with our Persian cats

Our family with our beloved Persians

From Ukraine to America

In 2010, when Iryna immigrated to the United States, she brought Burzhuy with her. He helped her adjust to a new country, a new language, a new life.

When we met in 2014, Burzhuy was part of the package. He lived with us until 2020, when he passed peacefully at around 15 years old.

Our Daughter Called Herself "Meow"

Our daughter was only 18 months when Burzhuy passed. As she grew, she became obsessed with cats—for a while, she called herself a cat. Her name was "Meow."

We knew we wanted to get her a Persian like Burzhuy.

The Search That Changed Everything

That's when we discovered how much had changed.

What we found:

  • Most Persians bred for cat shows with extreme flat faces
  • Health issues common (breathing problems, tear duct issues)
  • Classic Doll Face Persians—the kind Burzhuy was—harder to find
  • Breeders unwilling to sell breeding rights (competition and gatekeeping)
  • Kittens not raised to proper socialization standards
Iryna with our foundation cats

Iryna with our foundation cats

Iryna had been trained by specialists in cat behavior and breeding programs. She knew what proper kitten care looked like. She knew how Burzhuy was raised—in a home, bonded to people, not isolated in a facility.

So we decided: if we couldn't find what we were looking for, we'd create it ourselves.

Our Mission: Companion Cats for Families

We're not breeding show cats. We're breeding companion cats—classic Doll Face Persians raised in our home with our kids, our dogs, and our other cats.

✓ Socialized from Birth

Every kitten grows up with children, dogs, and other cats

✓ Health Tested

Parents are DNA screened for genetic conditions

✓ Temperament Matched

We observe each kitten's personality and match them to the right family

✓ Ongoing Support

Iryna answers questions and stays in touch (she loves getting updates)

What Makes Our Persians Different

We focus on what made Burzhuy special: calm, loyal, and deeply bonded.

Iryna handles all kitten care and support. I handle the social media because, honestly, she's too busy with the cats.

This is her mission. I'm just here to help her build it.

CFA Registered Cattery Certificate
CFA Registered Breeder TICA Registered IAABC Member

Every time a family sends us a photo of their kitten curled up next to their kid, or following them room to room, or purring on their chest during a hard day—we know we're honoring what Burzhuy taught us.

That's why we do this.

Common Questions & Concerns - Royal Persian Cats

We Know What You're Thinking (Because We'd Think It Too)

You've read this far, which means you're interested. But if you're like most families we work with, you probably have some hesitations. That's completely normal—this is a big decision. Here are the concerns we hear most often, and our honest answers:

"What if the kitten doesn't bond with my family?"

This is exactly why we don't do first-come-first-served.

Iryna spends weeks observing each kitten's personality before making a match. She's watching:

  • How they interact with new people
  • Whether they're bold or cautious
  • If they seek attention or prefer independence
  • How they respond to children and other animals

Then she matches that temperament to what you've told her about your family.

But here's the honest truth:

Even with careful matching, bonding takes time. Most kittens adjust within a few days to a week. Some take a little longer. That's normal.

What makes the difference:

  • Following our preparation guidelines (so your home is set up correctly)
  • Giving your kitten space to adjust at their own pace
  • Staying in touch with Iryna during the transition

And if there's a genuine mismatch (not just normal adjustment), that's what our 30-day temperament guarantee is for. We'll work with you to resolve it.

Bottom line: We don't just hand you a kitten and hope for the best. We're invested in making sure this works.

"I'm worried I can't handle the grooming."

Fair concern. Persians do require regular brushing.

But here's what most people don't realize: Not all Persian coats are the same.

  • White Persians have thicker, more structured fur that resists mats—easiest to maintain
  • Chinchilla Points have soft, balanced coats that rarely mat—low maintenance
  • Silver Chinchillas have finer fur that tangles more easily—needs brushing 2x/week (~5 minutes each time)
Here's what we do:

Iryna will match you to the right coat type for your lifestyle. If you're a first-time owner or don't want high grooming demands, she won't place you with a Silver Chinchilla.

Plus, we teach you how to groom:

  • What tools to use (and what's a waste of money)
  • Proper brushing technique to prevent mats
  • How to make grooming a bonding experience, not a battle

Most families tell us grooming is easier than they expected—because we prepare them properly and match them to the right kitten.

If you're willing to brush 2-3 times a week for 5-10 minutes, you can handle a Persian. If that sounds like too much, we'll be honest with you upfront.

"How do I know this isn't just a sales pitch?"

Because we turn people away.

Not every family is a good fit for our program, and we're honest about that. If you:

  • Want a kitten immediately and aren't willing to wait for the right match
  • Aren't prepared to follow our socialization and care guidelines
  • Are looking for the cheapest option regardless of quality
  • Have unrealistic expectations about what Persian ownership involves

We'll tell you we're not the right breeder for you.

We'd rather have no sale than a bad placement. Iryna's reputation and the well-being of her kittens matter more than a quick transaction.

Also, we're not hiding anything:

  • Our reviews are public (Google Business)
  • We provide documentation for health testing
  • We're registered with CFA, TICA, and IAABC
  • We walk you through our process before you commit

If this were just a sales pitch, we wouldn't spend weeks matching temperaments or offer a year of support. We'd take your deposit and move on. We don't operate that way because Iryna built this program based on what she wished existed when she was searching for a kitten.

"What if something goes wrong after I bring the kitten home?"

This is exactly why our support doesn't end at pickup.

First week:

Iryna is available 24/7. Text, call, video chat—whatever you need. The first few days are the most critical, and she's there in real-time.

First year:

Guaranteed support for any questions about health, behavior, grooming, feeding, or adjustment.

Beyond that:

Most families stay in touch for years because Iryna genuinely cares about every kitten she places.

Common situations we help with:

  • Kitten is hiding and won't come out (normal, here's what to do)
  • Not sure if a behavior is concerning or typical (usually typical, but we'll walk you through it)
  • Grooming questions or mat prevention
  • Introducing kitten to existing pets
  • Dietary adjustments or feeding schedules
  • Just need reassurance that everything is going okay

You're not figuring this out alone. Iryna is a certified cat behavior consultant (IAABC)—this is literally her expertise.

And if there's a genuine health or temperament issue covered by our guarantees, we honor them. No runaround, no loopholes.

"I've heard Persians have a lot of health problems."

Some do. Ours are bred to minimize those risks.

The problem with many Persians:

Modern show breeding has created extreme flat faces (peke-face) that come with:

  • Breathing difficulties
  • Chronic tear staining and eye infections
  • Dental problems due to jaw structure
  • Higher grooming demands
Our approach:

We breed Classic Doll Face Persians—the traditional structure with a slightly longer nose. They still have that signature Persian look, but with:

  • Better airflow and breathing
  • Fewer tear duct issues
  • Healthier jaw alignment
  • More manageable grooming

Plus, we health test:

Every breeding cat is DNA screened for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and other genetic conditions. We provide documentation.

The honest truth:

Can we guarantee your kitten will never get sick? No. No responsible breeder can promise that—they're living creatures. But we've done everything possible to reduce hereditary risks and breed for health, not just appearance.

"Why should I wait for a match instead of just picking an available kitten?"

Because the right fit matters more than speed.

Most breeders operate first-come-first-served:

You see available kittens, pick one based on photos, and hope it works out.

The problem with that approach:

  • You're choosing based on looks, not temperament
  • You have no idea if that kitten's personality fits your lifestyle
  • If it doesn't work out, you're stuck (or rehoming a kitten you just paid thousands for)
Our approach:

Iryna matches each kitten to the family whose lifestyle fits that temperament. A busy household with young kids gets a confident, playful kitten. A quiet couple gets a calm, affectionate lap cat.

Yes, this means waiting. Sometimes a few weeks, sometimes a few months.

But here's what you get in return:

  • A kitten whose natural personality aligns with what you're looking for
  • Confidence that this is the right match, not a gamble
  • A 15-year relationship that starts on the right foundation

Would you rather have a kitten now, or the right kitten? We built this process because Iryna wished it existed when she was searching. Waiting is hard, but regret is harder.

"How do I know I'm getting value for $2,000-$4,000?"

You've probably seen Persians priced anywhere from $1,500 to $5,000+ and wondered: what's the actual difference?

Here's the truth:

Price alone doesn't tell you anything about quality.

Some breeders charge $4,000+ because they're breeding for show championships—extreme flat faces that win ribbons but come with health complications. Others charge $1,500 because they're running a volume operation with minimal socialization or health testing.

So what ARE you actually paying for with us?

It's not just the kitten. It's everything that goes into raising them:

What's Included:
  • 12-14 weeks of intensive care — From birth to pickup, each kitten is raised in our home, socialized daily, health-tested, vaccinated (3 rounds), and spayed/neutered
  • Temperament matching — Weeks of observation to match personality to your lifestyle (not first-come-first-served)
  • Parents DNA health tested — Documentation proving genetic screening for PKD and other conditions
  • Preparation & education — Detailed guidance on setup, introduction, grooming, and what to expect
  • Ongoing support — 24/7 first week + 1 year guaranteed help (most families stay in touch much longer)
  • Everything included — Vaccinations, spay/neuter, health certificate, CFA registration, starter kit

When you add it up, we're providing over $7,800 in real value (see our detailed breakdown on the Types page).

The real question isn't "Is this expensive?"

It's "Am I getting a well-raised, healthy kitten with the support to make sure they thrive—or am I gambling?"

If you're comparing us to other breeders in the $2,000-$4,000 range, ask them:

  • Are parents health tested? (Can they show you documentation?)
  • How are kittens socialized? (Raised in a home or isolated in a facility?)
  • Do they match temperament to families? (Or is it first-come-first-served?)
  • What support do they offer after pickup? (Or do they disappear?)

That's where the difference shows up.

"I'm not sure I'm ready for a 15-year commitment."

This is one of the most honest concerns families have—and we respect it.

A Persian isn't an impulse purchase. It's a living creature that will be part of your family for 12-18 years. They'll need:

  • Daily interaction and companionship
  • Regular grooming (even low-maintenance varieties need brushing)
  • Veterinary care throughout their life
  • Adjustments when your life changes (moving, new baby, etc.)
If you're not sure you're ready, that's a good sign:

It means you're thinking seriously about this.

Here's what we suggest:

  • Be honest with yourself about your lifestyle and schedule
  • Talk to Iryna about what Persian ownership actually involves (not the Instagram version)
  • Consider your timeline—are you in a stable living situation? Planning major life changes?

We'd rather you wait until you're ready than rush into something you'll regret.

And if you decide now isn't the right time, we respect that. Iryna would rather have an honest conversation upfront than place a kitten in a home that isn't prepared.

"What if my living situation changes?"

Life happens. We get it.

People move. Jobs change. Babies arrive. Relationships shift. And when you're committing to a 15-year companion, it's natural to wonder: What if something changes and I can't keep my cat?

Here's our perspective:

We can't predict the future, and neither can you. But what we CAN do is make sure you're as prepared as possible for the commitment you're making today.

That's why Iryna asks about:

  • Your current living situation and stability
  • Whether you rent or own (and if rentals allow pets)
  • Your long-term plans and flexibility
  • Your support system if something unexpected happens
And here's what we offer:

If a genuine emergency arises and you absolutely cannot keep your cat, contact us first. We'll work with you to find a solution—whether that's temporary support, helping you find a trusted home, or (in rare cases) taking the cat back.

We're not going to abandon you if life gets complicated.

But we also need you to understand:

This is a serious commitment. Persians bond deeply with their families. Rehoming is traumatic for them. So before you commit, make sure you're ready—not just for the kitten stage, but for the next 15 years.

Still Have Concerns?

That's okay. This is a big decision, and you should feel 100% confident before moving forward. Text us your questions. Iryna is happy to talk through any hesitations, explain our process in more detail, or be honest if we're not the right fit for your family.

No pressure. Just real conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions - Royal Persian Cats

Frequently Asked Questions

You've learned about our process, our guarantees, and what makes us different. Now here are the practical details you need to know:

About the Process

When can I pick up my kitten?

+

Kittens go home at 12-14 weeks old, after they've completed all three rounds of vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered. This ensures they're fully prepared for the transition to your home.

The exact pickup date depends on when your matched kitten reaches this milestone, which we'll communicate clearly once the match is made.

Do you ship kittens, or is pickup required?

+

Pickup is required. We're located in Texas, and families come to our home to meet their kitten and complete the adoption in person.

We don't ship for several reasons:

  • The stress of cargo travel can be traumatic for kittens
  • We want to meet you in person and walk you through everything
  • It gives you a chance to see where and how your kitten was raised
  • We can answer last-minute questions and ensure you're fully prepared

If you're traveling from out of state, we're happy to work with your schedule to find a convenient pickup time.

How long is the typical wait time?

+

It varies depending on current litters and availability, but typically 4-12 weeks from the time you're added to our matching list.

Some families get matched quickly if we have a kitten whose temperament aligns perfectly with what they're looking for. Others wait a bit longer for the right fit.

We don't rush matches just to speed up the process. The right kitten is worth waiting for.

Can I visit before committing to a kitten?

+

We welcome initial consultation calls (video or phone) so you can meet Iryna, ask questions, and see how we operate.

However, we don't do in-person visits before a match is made for a few important reasons:

  • Protecting our kittens from potential exposure to illness
  • Minimizing stress on nursing mothers and young kittens
  • Ensuring our process stays focused on temperament matching (not "love at first sight" impulse decisions)

Once you're matched with a specific kitten, we'll share plenty of photos and videos so you can see their personality before pickup day.

What if I have other pets?

+

This is actually one of our strengths.

Our kittens are raised with dogs and other cats from birth, so they're already comfortable with multi-pet households.

During the preparation phase, Iryna will walk you through:

  • How to introduce your new kitten to existing pets
  • What to expect during the adjustment period
  • Signs of healthy vs. problematic interactions
  • How to set up separate spaces initially

Most introductions go smoothly because our kittens are already socialized. But every situation is unique, and Iryna will customize guidance based on your specific pets and household.

Do you have kittens available right now?

+

Availability changes frequently as litters are born and kittens are matched.

The best way to find out: Text us and let us know what you're looking for. We'll let you know if we currently have kittens that match your preferences, or when we expect the next litter.

You can also check our Available Kittens page for current availability.

Are your kittens registered?

+

Yes. All our kittens are registered with the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA), and you'll receive the registration papers at pickup.

We're also registered with TICA (The International Cat Association).

What vaccines do kittens receive before going home?

+

All kittens receive three rounds of FVRCP vaccine (protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia).

The vaccination schedule is:

  • First round: 6-8 weeks
  • Second round: 10-12 weeks
  • Third round: 14-16 weeks

Your kitten will be fully up-to-date when you pick them up, and we provide complete vaccination records.

Rabies vaccine: Typically given at 16 weeks or older. Depending on your pickup timing, this may need to be completed by your vet (we'll let you know).

Are kittens spayed/neutered before going home?

+

Yes. All kittens are spayed or neutered before pickup (unless you've specifically arranged breeding rights, which we rarely offer).

This is included in your adoption fee and eliminates the stress and cost of scheduling surgery yourself.

What colors/varieties do you breed?

+

We specialize in three Classic Doll Face Persian varieties:

White Persians $2,000-$2,500

Blue, copper, or odd-colored eyes | Easiest grooming

Silver Chinchilla Persians $2,000-$2,500

Green/blue-green eyes, black-tipped fur | Moderate grooming

Chinchilla Point Persians $2,500-$3,000

Blue eyes, soft cream/white coat | Low grooming

See detailed comparison on our Types page.

About Care & Maintenance

How often do Persians need grooming?

+

It depends on the variety:

  • White Persians: 2-3 times per week, ~5 minutes per session (easiest coat)
  • Chinchilla Points: 2-3 times per week, ~5 minutes per session (low-maintenance)
  • Silver Chinchillas: 3-4 times per week, ~5-10 minutes per session (finer coat, tangles more easily)

We teach you proper grooming technique during the preparation phase, including:

  • What tools to use
  • How to prevent mats
  • How to make grooming a bonding experience

Most families tell us grooming is easier than they expected because we prepare them properly and match them to the right coat type for their lifestyle.

Do Persian cats shed?

+

Yes, all cats shed to some degree. Persians have long, thick coats, so you'll notice hair—especially during seasonal shedding periods (spring and fall).

How to manage it:

  • Regular brushing reduces loose hair around your home
  • A good vacuum helps (we'll recommend one)
  • Balanced diet supports healthy coat and reduces excessive shedding

The good news: Our Classic Doll Face Persians shed less than many long-haired breeds because their coats are healthier and better structured.

Are Persians good with children?

+

Yes—especially ours.

Our kittens are raised with our children from birth, so they're accustomed to:

  • Being held and handled gently
  • Louder voices and sudden movements
  • Active play and household energy

That said, temperament varies. Some kittens are more playful and tolerant of high energy. Others are calmer and prefer quieter interaction.

This is why temperament matching matters. Iryna will match your family with a kitten whose personality fits your household dynamic—including the ages and activity levels of your kids.

We also provide guidance on:

  • Teaching children how to interact with kittens appropriately
  • Setting boundaries so the kitten has safe spaces
  • Recognizing signs of overstimulation

What do Persians eat?

+

We raise our kittens on high-quality, human-grade food from day one.

At pickup, we'll provide:

  • The specific brand and type we're currently feeding
  • A supply to get you started
  • Feeding schedule and portion guidelines
  • Recommendations for transitioning to other foods (if desired)

We'll also advise on:

  • What foods to avoid
  • How to read cat food labels
  • When and how to transition from kitten to adult food

Proper nutrition is critical for coat health, energy levels, and long-term wellness—so we make sure you're set up correctly from the start.

Do Persians have a lot of health problems?

+

Some do. Ours are bred to minimize those risks.

The problem with many modern Persians:

Extreme flat faces (peke-face) bred for show rings often come with:

  • Breathing difficulties
  • Chronic tear staining and eye infections
  • Dental issues due to jaw structure

Our Classic Doll Face Persians:

We breed traditional structure with slightly longer noses, which means:

  • Better breathing and airflow
  • Fewer tear duct problems
  • Healthier jaw alignment
  • Lower risk of breed-specific issues

Plus, we health test: Every breeding cat is DNA screened for PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and other genetic conditions. We provide documentation.

No breeder can guarantee a kitten will never get sick—they're living creatures. But we've done everything possible to reduce hereditary risks and breed for health, not just appearance.

About Pricing & Payment

How much do your kittens cost?

+
White Persians $2,000 - $2,500
Silver Chinchilla Persians $2,000 - $2,500
Chinchilla Point Persians $2,500 - $3,000

Price varies based on color, eye color, and specific characteristics.

What's included: Everything listed above (vaccinations, spay/neuter, health certificate, registration, starter kit, preparation guidance, and ongoing support). Total value: over $7,800.

Do you offer payment plans?

+

We require a deposit to reserve your matched kitten (amount varies, typically $500-$1,000).

The remaining balance is due at pickup.

We do not offer extended payment plans because our kittens go home fully vetted, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered—which means we've already invested significantly before pickup.

If cost is a concern, we're happy to discuss timing so you can save up before committing to a match.

What's your deposit and refund policy?

+

Deposit: Once you accept a kitten match, a deposit is required to reserve that kitten. The amount varies depending on the kitten.

Refund policy:

  • Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind after accepting a match
  • Deposits are refundable or transferable if we cannot fulfill the match due to health issues or other circumstances on our end

Why non-refundable? Once we match you with a kitten, we turn away other interested families. The deposit ensures commitment on both sides.

We'll walk you through all terms clearly before you commit.

About Our Program

Why don't you offer breeding rights?

+

We rarely sell breeding rights for a few important reasons:

  • Protecting our lines — We've spent years carefully selecting and health-testing our breeding cats. We're protective of those genetics.
  • Ethical breeding requires expertise — Responsible breeding isn't just about having two cats. It requires knowledge of genetics, health testing, behavior, proper socialization, and ongoing care.
  • Our focus is companion cats — We breed for families, not for other breeders.

In rare cases, we may consider breeding rights for experienced, ethical breeders who share our values. But this is the exception, not the rule.

If you're interested in breeding rights, let us know upfront so we can have an honest conversation about whether it's possible.

What makes you different from other breeders?

+

We covered this in detail above, but here's the short version:

  • Home-raised with kids, dogs, and real family life
  • Temperament-matched placements (not first-come-first-served)
  • Parents DNA health tested with documentation
  • Classic Doll Face structure (healthier than extreme flat faces)
  • 1 year guaranteed support (often much longer)
  • Detailed preparation and owner education

We're not the cheapest. We're not the fastest. But if you want a kitten raised with intention and a breeder who stays invested in your success, this is the program Iryna built.

Are you licensed/registered?

+

Yes. We are:

  • CFA Registered Breeder (Cat Fanciers' Association)
  • TICA Registered (The International Cat Association)
  • IAABC Member (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants)

Can I stay in touch after I bring my kitten home?

+

Absolutely—and we hope you do!

Most families stay in touch well beyond the first year because Iryna genuinely loves getting updates, photos, and hearing how kittens are doing.

You're not just a transaction. You're part of the Royal Persian Cats family.
